Saber Boys Basketball Camps

Improve your basketball skills by attending the Saber Boys Basketball Camp. The camp is coordinated by Shakopee Varsity Assistant Coach Jon Miller.

Participants will receive a camp t-shirt.
 
Grade levels are for the 2009-2010 school year.
 
Registration forms are available at the Shakopee Community Center. 

Make checks payable to Shakopee Boys Basketball Association.

Grade 1 & 2

Campers will learn the enjoyment of the game by working on the fundamentals of basketball. The focus will be on proper shooting and dribbling techniques.

Grade 3 -5

Campers will work on both offensive and defensive skills. Player will learn about individual offensive moves to drive to the basket. Player will learn about effective post moves, the importance of correct footwork, and both offensive and defensive positioning.

Grades 4 to 9 - Advanced Skills and Team Camp

Skills are designed for the players who are experienced on the court but want to prepare for the next level. This camp offers high-level instruction and intense competition for campers who are ready to work on advanced skills. The first half of camp will consist of individual offensive moves and team offensive concepts. The second half of camp will consist of team play and competitions designed to utilize the skill set taught during the 1st half of camp.
